Notes:
I could probably write a book about what a pain in my ass this video has been, but I'll try to control myself.
The story here is basically canon, I only added some stuff we didn't see in the show (Castiel rescuing Dean from Hell) and I changed subtly the events that follow.
I'm aware that the ending can be interpreted many ways, for me it was the answer to this question: what if Castiel had chosen to listen to the rebel angels and not to help Dean?
For me this Castiel is still someone that loves Dean and wants him close, I wouldn't call him evil. Even in the show it was pretty clear how thin and smudged the line between human right and wrong is, for such an alien being as Castiel: he wants to help Dean and he believes he can do it his way.
Well, obviously I can't imagine Dean living on eternally without his brother at his side, not even if Castiel is with him, so the ending is possibly one of the most depressing things I could think of.
I'm actually glad the show didn't take this route and Castiel chose Dean over the angels instead, even if for me that was a highly improbable choice for him to make. I suppose that's why I ship them so much: the choice Castiel made? It could only have been inspired by love (they make me so cheesy, man).
So, instead of boring you to tears with this stuff, I suggest you read this fic: 'Tell me I will never die, take away my pain' by
devilyouwere .
I must be honest, I didn't edit the video with this story in mind, but I happened to reread it a while later and I realised they revolve around the same concept. And the story is pretty wonderful, so you should go over there and read it.
After all these pretty words I feel like I should share how depressed this damn thing got me at some point, I think it was a cross between 'gosh, how sad and hopeless and creepy this is' and 'I've finished it, what am I gonna do now'. It's the first time I feel so much for a video of mine, I suppose this is an accomplishment? I still hope not to get into this same mood for another video, I barely left home for a whole weekend to edit the second part and wrap it up.
I have to apologize, like usual, for the stupid logo flying in and out of screen with the zoom, I couldn't use the logo-free phootage.
Lyrics:
'Tiptoe'
You feel good
You feel right
You're so good
You feel good
You feel right
You're so good
Tiptoe
Over me
Tiptoe
Tiptoe
Over me
Tiptoe
You feel good
You feel right
You're so good
Tears start
Go down
Hear the low
Tears start
Go far
Burst out
Tears start
Go down
Hear the low
Tears just started over you
And I'm not over you
Tears start
Go down
Hear the low
Tears just started over you
And I'm not over you
NB: this are the lyrics to the whole song, I just used bits of it.
